My Roman Empires In Fashion (but they get progressively more niche)

Dior's releases for fw26 speak to my heart as someone who loves Swan Lake, Claude Monet, and The Princess and the Frog. You can tell that Dior is going back to its roots with this collection. The Frog Pouch, in particular, has been on my mind since I first laid eyes on it. Both VisualNomad and Pierce Portico have made replicas of the Frog bag in IMVU, so I have one for myself!
2. Princess Diana's Black Sheep Sweater

In a way, Princess Diana was the black sheep of the royal family. And I feel like sometimes we can tell where she was in her life based on her style choices. I think about her sheep sweater and its irony a lot. Warm & Wonderful, the maker of the sweater, still makes and sells her iconic piece.
3. Lana del Rey for Skims

There's something about this that makes me feel nostalgic. It reminds me of vintage Valentine's Day cards. I don't have much to say but I dream of recreating these photos one day.
4. Zoe Kravitz's Dress at the Batman Premiere

If I looked like Zoe Kravitz I would be unstoppable. I love when stars wear something in theme to a premiere. I really like the cateye slits in her dress. Mind you, I haven't watched nor plan to watch this movie. As a society, we moved on from this moment to soon.
5. The Hair Clips from Relic Room

I love all of the hair clips from Relic Room and I would pay actual money for someone to recreate them in IMVU. It takes a certain amount of weirdness to pull those off. There isn't much else to say here.
6. "Fashion Brand Company"

I laugh whenever I think about this brand because they are so unserious. Fashion Brand Company is a fashion house, ironically. What do you mean you sell a lizard urn, and why is it $69? There's a jacket named "Linen jacket for sitting on your friend's shoulders to pretend you're an adult", among other cleverly named items that crack me up. Not everything they do is silly, but they clearly know how to get your attention.
7. Marilyn Monroe's Slippers

Marilyn Monroe holds a special place in my heart. I believe she did a shoot with Fredricks of Hollywood and was photographed wearing these lovely slippers. The shoes have fur over the toe and a clear glass bottom. I have been thinking about these shoes since I was 15. Recently, I found a dupe for them from Pleasers. They aren't exact matches, but they do look pretty similar.
And that is all I have for you today, my loves. Do you have any roman empires, fashion related or otherwise? I would love to hear about them in the comments or over on Instagram.
xoxo,
Scarlette
P.S. More Fashion Brand Company because it's funny
