Fashion Houses for the Houses | Giving You A Designer Brand Based On Your Zodiac Sign

Hello everyone!

Welcome back to the blog! I hope you're doing amazing. Do you believe in astrology? Would you say that your zodiac sign matches you, even a little? As a Pisces, the stereotypes are somewhat accurate. Yes I am creative, emotional, and empathetic. I don't think I'm out of touch with reality though, just a little delulu at times. Today, I'm giving each zodiac sign a fashion house or brand that I feel best represents them. Some signs have more than one brand because I couldn't pick just one for them. 

Aries - Gucci

I've noticed that a lot of fashion designers are Aries: Marc Jacobs, Vivienne Westwood, & Guccio Gucci to name a few. Aries isn't afraid of being seen and always remains true to themselves. You like having fun. I feel like Gucci fits you best. Just like Gucci, you are bold and adventurous. You're also energetic and confident, yet you don't like being put into a box.

Taurus - Chanel

I've never met a Taurus that didn't give me elegant and chic vibes. Therefore, I will give you the epitome of chic, Coco Chanel. Honestly, we all saw this coming. A Taurus is someone who has their shit together. Some people say Taurus is stubborn, but they know what works and stick to it. They're very classy and have an affinity for luxury. I don't think there's another brand that screams "Taurus" more than Chanel. 

Gemini - Mugler

Ah yes, the little bitches of the 12 zodiacs. I'm not fond of Geminis. You are emotionally needy while lacking the ability to give as much as you receive, and hypocritical. However, I do think some Geminis are flexible and like to push boundaries. I like Mugler for Gemini. Mugler is dramatic, easily recognizable, and "avant-garde". There's nothing average or boring about Mugler: think of the Chimera Dress or the Alien perfume bottle. Much like Mugler, Gemini's don't think outside the box, they ignore the box altogether. 

Cancer - Lirika Matoshi

There's something very endearing and ingenue-esque about my beloved Cancers. You guys are the happy medium of the water signs. You're not as mature and dark as Scorpio, but you also aren't as surreal as Pisces. You have a healthy sense of optimism while still being realistic about things. Therefore, I am giving you Lirika Matoshi. Lirika's designs capture the essence of whimsy without being over the top. I definitely think her designs speak to Cancer's creativity. 

Leo - Mirror Palais

Leos are sexy, simply put. It goes beyond their looks, it's their energy as well. When thinking about Leo energy, the first thing that came to my mind was Mirror Palais. Looking at their designs, everything is so sensual and warm. I don't think you can wear a Mirror Palais dress and not have all eyes immediately on you. Leos have this uncanny ability to capture all the attention in a room, so I feel like this is a good match for you guys. 

Virgo - Miu Miu

I like Virgos because you're so grounded and serene. Virgos are like swans, there's a lot of work under the surface but they make it look easy. Nothing about you seems forced, that is why I'm giving you Miu Miu. Miu Miu is feminine with a sense of intellect and playfulness. Their designs remind me of how Virgos are so good at making everything look effortless. Miu Miu's designs are elegant, refined, and clean, but still have a touch of personality. This fits with Virgos because they tend to be reserved and introspective, but also quirky and down to earth. 

Libra - Yohji Yamamoto

Honestly it's so hard to type Libras because in my experience, they're either open books or hard to read. I'm giving Yohji Yamamoto to Libra. Yamamoto himself is a Libra so it's fitting. Libras like beauty and aesthetics, and they care about how they're perceived. Yamamoto combines simplicty with profound elegance. This speaks to Libra's need for harmony and self-expression. Yamamoto captures the essence of balance, which is Libra's whole thing.

Scorpio - Rick Owens / Prada

My sexy little scorpions. When I think of Scorpio, I think sleek and sexy. There's something so intense and dark about Scorpios that makes them so attractive. I feel like once Scorpios pull you in it's hard to ignore them. Both Rick Owens and Prada match Scorpios vibe. Rick Owens, the designer, is actually the Scorpio ever. Both brands embody the qualities I associate with Scorpios. Dark palettes, sharp and sleek silhouettes, and edgy elegance. 

Sagittarius - Alexander McQueen

I like to think of Sagittarius as Aries on steroids. Sagittarius takes up space and doesn't apologize for being authentic and bold. They love theatrics and naturally become the center of attention. Alexander McQueen fits Sags the best imo. Alexander McQueen is bold, expressive, and dramatic. It mirrors Sagittarius' essence and how they live each day with flair.

Capricorn - Armani/ Hermes

I was torn between Armani and Hermes for Capricorn. On one hand, I think Armani best represents the practical and business-minded side of Capricorn. I think Capricorns are very motivated by success and care about having a high reputation. On the other hand, Caps are perfectionists and like good craftsmanship, so Hermes also fits here. 

Aquarius - Balenciaga

Experimental and innovative, that's you! I have never met an Aquarius that wasn't somewhat quirky or unconventional. Balenciaga fits you best. From sock shoes to Kim K's caution-tape bodysuit, Balenciaga never misses an opportunity to exercise its free will. That's why I'm giving it to you, Aquarius. Much like Balenciaga, you gain attention by doing things nobody else would ever think to do. 

Pisces - Selkie

Pisces are dreamlike, ethereal, and often have their heads in the clouds. I'm giving us Selkie because I'm biased, but also because this brand screams Pisces. We're romantic, idealists, imaginative, but not very realistic or practical. That's not a bad thing, though; in fact, we make up for it in creativity. Selkie is otherworldly and surreal, just like Pisces.
