Monthly Review | July 2025
Hey Babes!
Welcome back to the blog! I hope you are doing amazing. I know I am. Thank you for all the support on the new blog updates. If you didn't read it, there will be some changes to the blog. In the case of the Monthly Review, I will let you all know if I am doing it for the month. If I am, there will be fewer products than before. So the usual 10 is now 6.
If you are new here and don't know what the Monthly Review is, allow me to explain! Each month, I hand pick items to test out and later review. The items can range in category: makeup, skincare, hair, body, food, fashion, furniture, books, etc. Over the course of the month, I note my feelings and later come back to share my thoughts on everything I tried out. Now that we've cleared that up, on to the reviews!

- Gisou Honey Infused Lip Oil (10/10)
I honestly have so much to say about this. For starters, I love the happy balance between being lightweight while also feeling hydrating. The Gisou Li Oil is made with Mirsalehi honey. I have used it as a gloss as well as a step in my nighttime routine. It goes on almost clear on me and the shine is to die for! Honestly, it's popular for a reason.
- Orabella Nightcap by Bella Hadid (8.5/10)
This immediately became a favorite in my collection. A gourmand fragrance that doesn't smell cloying or overly sweet? Sign me up. (I will be talking about my perfume collection soon, stay tuned) This is a dreamy, vanilla and ginger perfume with a touch of cardamom and patchouli. I really like the creativity behind this. The ginger and spices stop it from being just another gourmand perfume. It's fresh, warm, and in my opinion it's hard to become nose-blind to this scent.
- TirTir milk toner (10/10)
I feel like I've bought too many toners in my life, but this is definitely the last one I'll ever need! This is a super moisturizing toner made with rice extract that left my skin polished, bright, and hydrated. It also works to soothe the skin so if you're a dry girlie like me this is for you! The toner works to strengthen the skin barrier and is suitable for all skin types. After a month of using it, my skin feels soft, looks brighter, and I haven't had any negative reactions as of yet. Maybe I should compare my skincare products in a later article...
- Cosrx face cream (6/10)
If there was a skincare Mount Rushmore, this would be on it. This is an all-in-one cream made with 92% snail mucin, which contains a multitude of skin friendly ingredients. (collagen, glycolic acid, hyaluronic acid, for example) While, I don't love the idea of using animals for the sake of beauty, this product is decent. I would argue that this one product could tackle any skin concern. It can help with dry skin, redness, dull skin, blemishes, scarring, you name it. I am conflicted with this product. On one hand, it's a great product that left my skin feeling moisturized and smooth. On the other hand, I don't know how they're getting snail mucin for this product, or if they're doing so ethically. I have always prioritized ethics and sustainability when it comes to beauty, so this is getting a 6/10 from me.
- Almond Breeze Almond-Oat Milk (9/10)
I hate milk, let's get that out of the way. I've never liked milk. Usually, I will substitute it for almond milk, but this month I decided to be adventurous. I found that oat milk is creamier and sweet and works well in my morning iced coffee. Comparing the two, oat milk is more versatile. (why the fuck am I talking to you about milk substitutes?) This is a combination of the two and it is quite delicious. Basically it's a great substitute for regular milk and I will be buying it again.
- This Air Purifier (8.5/10)
It's summer and I'm suffering. For the past two weeks, I have been concerned with the air quality in our house. Mr. Dragon is currently working on the problem, but for now, he bought an air purifier for the bedroom. I absolutely love it. Of course it doesn't reach the entire house, nor do I expect it to. However, it has made changes to the bedroom. The air doesn't feel as stuffy or heavy like it usually would during the summer. It's a great temporary solution until Mr. Dragon fixes the actual problem.
And that is everything I tried this month! Let me know your thoughts. Have you used any of these? Is my review pretty on par? Tell me in the comments or over on Instagram. Thank you so much for reading and take care!
xoxo, Scarlette
