Monthly Review | April 2025
Hey Babes!
Welcome back to the blog! I hope you're doing amazing. As April comes to a close, it’s time to go over everything I tried this month. Some things I loved, others… not so much. Welcome to the Monthly Review!
If you’re new here, this series was previously called Monthly Favorites, but let’s be real—not everything is a favorite. The name may have changed, but the vibes remain the same. Each month, I pick 10 items across different categories—food, makeup, skincare, books, clothes, furniture, you name it. I take notes throughout the month and give each item a final rating.
Without further ado, here’s the April 2025 Monthly Review!
1. Cosmic 2.0 Perfume – Rating: 7/10
Back in January, I tested the original Cosmic and gave it a 4.5/10. It was pretty but felt generic and lacked depth. Cosmic 2.0, though? A major upgrade. It’s warmer, brighter, and overall more interesting. The notes of pink pepper, pear, and subtle lavender give it a playful yet sophisticated feel—kind of like Cloud by Ariana Grande. The longevity is moderate, which is always a plus. It’s definitely more feminine and sexy, and while it’s not my all-time favorite, it’s a solid improvement from the original.
2. Juicy Hunny Bee Candle – Rating: 9/10
I love a good candle, and this one delivers! Hunny Bee is a dreamy blend of honey, vanilla, and orange blossom, creating a scent that’s like a creamy, sweet, candied orange. It fills the entire house without being overwhelming. If you love warm, cozy, dessert-like scents, this one’s a winner.
3. Glossier Black Cherry Balm Dotcom – Rating: 10/10
A true gem! This balm tastes like tart cherries with a touch of sweetness, and the subtle tint it leaves on the lips is so pretty. It’s hydrating, long-lasting, and gives that effortless, flushed-lip look. Honestly, I don’t have a single complaint—this one’s perfection.
4. Flortte Blooming Eyeshadow Palette – Rating: 7.5/10
K-beauty is having a generational run! This is a super cute palette with soft, romantic shades that are perfect for everyday wear. The mattes blend beautifully, and the shimmers are just the right level of sparkly. My only gripe is that some shades lack a bit of pigment, but with a good primer, it’s a solid pick.
5. Dove x Crumbl Body Scrub in Confetti – Rating: 8/10
Okay, I have thoughts on Crumbl, but I’ll put those aside because this scrub? Actually really good. It’s similar to Tree Hut scrubs—gritty enough to exfoliate, but not too harsh. The scent is a sweet, cakey vanilla, which I surprisingly loved. Would I repurchase? Probably.
6. Lavender Sparkling Water – Rating: 5.5/10
I had never even heard of lavender sparkling water before, so I had to try it. It’s surprisingly refreshing, but there’s something about it that feels a little gimmicky. Maybe it’s an acquired taste? Not bad, but not something I’d crave. I found that it works well in mock-tails and drinks.
7. Lemme Purr Gummies – Rating: 6/10
We love a good probiotic moment! These have a pleasant pineapple flavor, which is a nice change from the usual chalky supplements. That said, compared to other vaginal health products, they’re just okay—not the best, but not the worst either.
8. Chloe Red No. 249 – Rating: 8/10
A really solid merlot! It has a rich blend of dark fruits with a subtle hint of spice, making it perfect for a relaxed night in or a casual day party. It’s smooth, easy to drink, and pairs well with just about anything. Definitely a good one to keep stocked.
9. Thirsty Buddha Coconut Water – Rating: 10/10
This is the coconut water. Hydrating, naturally sweet, and without that weird artificial aftertaste some brands have. Perfect for post-workout recovery or just a refreshing drink on a hot day. No notes, just love.
10. Honest Baby Wipes – Rating: 10/10
Listen, baby wipes aren’t just for babies. If you have sensitive skin, like me, you're going to love these! These are fragrance-free, gentle, and perfect for on-the-go freshness. I always keep a pack in my bag, and they never disappoint. A simple but essential staple!
And there you have it! That's everything I tried this month. Let me know what you think. Have you tried any of these products? What else would you like me to review next month? As always, take care.
