Scar's Hair Recs | Sharing My Favorite Products.

Hi, Beautiful!

Welcome back to the blog! I hope you're doing amazing. Recently, I cut off all my hair. It's growing back quickly, but it's nice to switch up your look every once in a while right? I come from a culturally blended family, so hair has always been an interesting topic for me. As I got older, I discovered what really works for my hair versus what doesn't. That's why I am going to share my hair-care favorites with you today. These are my holy grail products that I can't live without.

I would like to note that I am saying this as someone with pretty thick, textured hair. For reference, I fall somewhere between 3b-4a for hair types. If you would like to use anything that I have mentioned, take my review with a grain of salt because I am talking about how it works for me. With that disclaimer out the way, enjoy.

1. Ouai Thick Hair Shampoo & Conditioner

I can't give enough kudos to Ouai, honestly. The thick hair shampoo uses ingredients like marshmallow root and avocado oil to help hydrate your hair and give it the treatment it needs. I struggle with finding a good shampoo because I hate how my hair feels stripped afterwards. Ouai doesn't do that! My hair and scalp feel clean and refreshed.

The conditioner is just as good. It feels light on my hair and helps refine my curls. The scent of the shampoo and conditioner is a delightful blend of floral and citrus notes. I feel like I just walked out the salon. I definitely saw and felt a difference after using Ouai. Overall, I don't think you can go wrong with this duo.

2. Carol's Daughter Black Vanilla Hair Smoothie

A pretty underrated product, but she's so loved by me. I really like how defined and shiny my curls look after using this hair mask. It makes my hair feel soft and manageable. The black vanilla scent is so yummy, and it lingers throughout the day. This product is great if you have curly or coily hair like me, as it really leaves your curls defined and hydrated. I especially love how it doesn't weigh my hair down.

3. Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil

The girls love Gisou for a reason! It's a miracle worker when it comes to adding shine and reducing frizz. The oil feels luxurious but never greasy, leaving my hair silky smooth and more manageable. Plus, it provides nourishment to each strand, giving my hair a healthy, glossy finish.

4. Any hair perfume by Byredo

Byredo never misses. Everything about Byredo gives me clean and quiet luxury. I have two of their hair perfumes: Blanche and Flowerhead. They really add the finishing touch to whatever scent profile I'm wearing for the day.

5. Dyson Air Wrap

This gadget does everything: curls, straightens, blow-outs, you name it. You need this, it's a staple. It's easy to use and the attachments make it versatile and great for both quick styling and intricate looks. It takes less time and gives me a salon quality feel. The result is voluminous curls, Victoria's Secret level blowouts, and goddess-like hair.

6. Kinky Curl Curling Custard

If you have textured hair, like me, sometimes you want to let your curls out and be natural. I hate most curling creams because they feel heavy on my hair and leave a flaky cast once it dries. Cream, gel, pomade, it doesn't matter. Finding a good curl defining product is hard, until someone put me on to Kinky Curl. Kinky Curl curling custard is lightweight, defines curls without flaking, and leaves hair feeling soft and bouncy. It enhances natural texture while moisturizing, making it perfect for wash-and-go styles or refreshing second-day curls. It's a game-changer for anyone looking to embrace their curls with minimal effort and maximum results.

That is all I have for you today, my loves. Let me know what your thoughts. Do you use anything I have mentioned in the article? Would you say I'm pretty accurate on how they worked for me? Let me know what products you use for your hair in the comments or over on Instagram.

xoxo,

Scarlette
