Monthly Review | January 2026
Hello Everyone!
Welcome back to the blog! I hope you're doing amazing. It's the last day of January, and it is once again time for the Monthly Review. If you are new here or forgot how this works, I pick a few items each month to test and review. The items can be for beauty, fashion, home, food & drink, etc. As the month goes on I note my thoughts on each item and share them on the final day of each month. This time I have selected 6 items to review. Enough with the chit-chat, let's get into the Monthly Review!

Carol's Daughter Almond Cookie Shea Souffle : 10/10
You need this! I don't know what else you want me to say. The Shea Souffle line by Carol's Daughter has always been gold in my eyes. You can't beat a product that's lightweight, long lasting, and smells heavenly. I have always preferred body care products that are lighter yet still moisturizing. It's perfect for dry skin. I put it on before bed and my skin still felt smooth and soft the next day. The scent reminds me of my mom's baking, which may be the reason I like it so much. Even if your mom didn't bake, you'll still love this body cream.
Rose Sparkling Water : 7/10
A few Monthly Reviews ago, I rated some lavender sparkling water I tried. I decided to go back and try the rose version. I've tried rose water before, in fact drinking rose water is a part of my beauty routine. This reminds me of rosé, but it's obviously non-alcoholic. I like this one more than the lavender one. Unlike the last one, this is tasty regardless of what it's paired with. Fruit, alcohol, or by itself. Sparkling beverage fans will definitely like this.
Miutine by Miu Miu : 10/10
If you read my latest perfume installment, you already know how I feel about this beauty! Miutine is feminine and sweet but still feels like a woman's fragrance. Miutine is strawberry forward and has a sugary, jammy, and fresh fragrance. This is a new addition to my ever-growing perfume collection but it is currently one of my favorites. I feel like I would be repeating myself if I shared how I feel about Miutine, but to sum up my thoughts she is beautiful.
Medicube Collagen JellyCream : 5/10
I have mixed feelings about this product. It claims to penetrate the skin's barrier to improve hydration, but it really just sat on the surface of my skin. My skin is different from yours, so I want to emphasize that this review should be taken with a grain of salt. While I do think the science part of this product is neat, it doesn't feel any different than another generic product with the same formula. Yes, it has hyaluronic acid and collagen, but that's nothing profound or revolutionary. On a brighter note, it did make my skin look bright and dewy after two weeks.
Frosted Vanilla Fantasy by Victoria's Secret : 10/10
Am I late to this? Yes. Is that because I rarely go to Victoria's Secret unless they're having a sale? Also yes. When people tell me they like vanilla fragrances, this is what I imagine they want. I got the fragrance mist and the body lotion, a dream duo. The best way I can describe it is pure sex and vanilla. It's not reinventing the wheel or giving a new take on vanilla. It's a classic formula of vanilla, amber, and sandalwood. I do think it stands out by being lighter and having a fresh feel. Maybe that's because of the raspberry note, who knows.
And there you have it, everyone. Here is everything I tried and reviewed this month. Looking back, I think most of these were a perfect 10/10. Let me know your thoughts. Have you tried any of these items? If so, do you think my review is pretty accurate? If you have anything you'd like me to review, let me know in the comments or over on my Instagram.
xoxo,
Scarlette
